Journey- to the Golden Temple

Travelling through the foothills of the Himalaya towards the holy city of Amritsar, home to the captivating Golden Temple, this tour explores the diversity of northwest India. The route continues through the 'Pink City' of Jaipur in Rajasthan and concludes with a visit to the enchanting Taj Mahal.






Day 1 Arrive Delhi: You will be recieved by our representatives at Airport.Full day rest at a luxurious hotel in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi: Morning arrival and transfer to the Hyatt Regency / Intercontinental The Grand for 2 nights. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 3 Delhi: Morning tour of Old Delhi. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 4 To Shimla: Early morning transfer to Delhi station to board the Himalayan Queen into the Shimla hills, connecting onto the narrow gauge railway at Kalka. Stay 2 nights at the Oberoi Cecil Hotel.

Day 5 Shimla: Morning tour. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 6 To Mcleodganj / Dharamsala: Full day drive through the foothills of the Himalaya to Dharamsala. Stay 2 nights at Asia Health Resort / The Surya.

Day 7 Dharamsala: As headquarters of the Tibetan government in exile, this former British hill station has a strong Tibetan feel. Morning tour of Namgyal Monastery, seat of His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

Day 8 To Amritsar: Full day drive to Amritsar. Stay at the Ritz Plaza / Ranjit’s Svaasa for 2 nights.

Day 9 Amritsar: Morningvisit to the Golden Temple, Jallian Walah Memorial and Ram Bagh gardens. This afternoon transfer to Wagah on the India - Pakistan border to see the sunset Retreat Ceremony.

Day 10 To Neemrana: Early morning train to Delhi, then transfer by road to Neemrana Fort Palace for a 1 night stay.

Day 11 To Jaipur: Morning transfer to Jaipur. Afternoon tour. Stay 2 nights at Le Meridien / Country Inn & Suites.

Day 12 Jaipur: This morning visit Amber Fort. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 13 To Agra: Drive to Agra and stay 2 nights at the Taj View Hotel / Jaypee Palace. En route visit Emperor Akbar’s capital of Fatehpur Sikri.

Day 14 Agra: Morning visit to Agra Fort. Afternoon visit to the Taj Mahal.

Day 15 To Delhi: Transfer to Delhi visiting Sikandra en route. Overnight at a luxurios hotel in Delhi.
