Nepal Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour

Day 1
Met at the airport and transfer to a hotel in Colombo. Afternoon visit if time permits Kelaniya Temple at Kelaniya. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2
After breakfast proceed to Hatton by train (early morning train). From Hatton get into the vehicle to drive to Maskeliya to climb the Adam's Peak. After dinner climb the Adam's Peak. Takes about 4-5 hours by foot. View the sunrise early morning and back to Maskeliya. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya for overnight stay.

Day 3
After breakfast proceed to Kandy enroute visiting Tea Plantation and Tea Factory. Evening view the Cultural Dance Show and visit Tooth Relic Temple in Kandy. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4
After breakfast proceed to Ambakke Temple, Gadaladeniya Temple, sight seeing of Kandy, Kandy Museum, Peradeniya Botanical Garden, and Upper Lake Drive etc. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5
After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya enroute visiting Aluwehare Temple in Matale and Rock Cave Temple in Dambulla. Overnight stay at a hotel in Sigiriya or Dambulla.

Day 6
After breakfast visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Thereafter proceed to Anuradhapura for sightseeing. Visit Sri Maha Bodhi Temple, Ruwanweli Saya, Thuparamaya, Isurumuniya Temple etc.
Afternoon sightseeing of Polonnaruwa. Visit Royal Pavilion, Thuparamaya, Watadagaya (circular stupa), Uththararamaya (Galvehare) where the reclining Buddha statue, Lankathilanka - the oldest Buddhist temple etc.
Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Sigiriya or Giritale.

Day 7
After breakfast proceed to Colombo enroute visiting Pinnawella Elephant Orphanage the only Orphanage for Elephants in the world.
If flight is leaving late night straight to airport for departure.
